Green event planning is now an established trend within the global tourism and convention industry; industry associations have already produced standards and guidelines for green meetings; government agencies and non-profit organizations are promoting these practices.  Why don’t we?

We, at Avana, are doing our best in conducting our conferences and events in ways which minimize the environmental burdens imposed by such activities, applying environmentally preferred practices to waste management (reduce and re-use); resource and energy use, travel and local transportation, facilities selection, food provision (consuming local produce) and disposal, hotels and accommodations, and management and purchasing decisions.
